11 Feng Shui Tips for Creating Romance and Passion

Valentine's Day or any day - romance and passion are important. Whether you're looking for a new relationship or looking to enhance an existing one, Feng Shui will power your intentions.
Your environment is either supporting you or working against you. If you are in a relationship these tips will support you in creating the relationship you want. And, if you are looking for a new partner, these tips will set the scene.

1. Create an inviting sanctuary
What is your bedroom saying? Does it reflect who you are, and set the scene for the relationship you want, or is it a room you don't think too much about because you only sleep - or try to sleep there. Want more to happen in there?

2. Let go of past associations
You are affected by the energy of everything in your surroundings. Does your furniture remind you of the past?

Do you have photos of past partners? Yikes! Let go of anything you don't want to bring into your present or upcoming relationship.

3. Make your bed the primary feature
What's in your bedroom with you? Exercise equipment, desk, computer? This energy will conflict with the purpose of the bedroom - serenity, romance and renewal. If necessary, use a screen to separate these different functions.

4. Remove the television from your bedroom
A television will affect your relationships, and your sleep. The television is a more vibrant, yang energy, which can make it less relaxing for sleep, and take your attention away from your partner.

5. Position your bed
The ideal bed position is as far away from the door as possible, and with a clear view of the door from where you lie. If you cannot see the door easily, this will set up an unconscious vulnerability that will affect the quality of your sleep and other aspects of your life. A solid headboard will support a strong relationship.

6. Who are you sleeping with?
Your bed holds the energy of anyone who has slept in it. Support the beginning of a new life with someone by replacing your bed. And, considering you spend a third of your life in bed, invest in the best possible.

7. Don't let Clutter Bog You Down!
Clutter affects all areas of your life more than anything else, and your bedroom is no exception. Clutter here will be affecting your health, your prosperity, and both existing and potential relationships. Clutter will prevent you from creating your dreams.

Don't underestimate the importance of clearing your closet. Clients report this gives them an immediate increase in energy and improved feelings about themselves. Give away anything that doesn't make you feel your best. One client found herself writing her autobiography after procrastinating for 4 years. The more you express of yourself, the better your chance of having a relationship that works for you.

Clutter is anything unfinished, unused, unresolved, tolerated, or disorganized. So, this could be physical clutter, or unresolved issues with your partner or an ex partner.

8. Get a fresh perspective on your art
Art work is a powerful enhancement in creating your life. If you're a single woman, having a picture of a lonely woman walking along the beach will not be helping you create someone new in your life. Make sure your art is sending the right messages. Position images of pairs of things in your bedroom and relationship areas of your home.

9. Make space for a relationship
One client set the intention for a new relationship in her life, and made space for it by making space in her closet and in her bathroom for the person who would come into her life. She added a second pillow on the bed. Within a very short time she was in a new relationship.
Set your bedroom up for two if you want to create a relationship. Have matching bedside tables and lamps. What represents romance to you? Have pairs of things such as two dolphins, two roses, two candles.

10. Nurture your number one relationship - the one with yourself
Treat yourself as the god or goddess you are - the one your ideal partner falls in love with. Are you fully expressing your unique gifts? Nurture yourself with your favorite scented candles, music and sensual fabrics. Write poetry, buy flowers and be wildly sexual.
11. Always, and especially on Valentine's Day, celebrate he love you have in your life, whether it's with a Partner, friends or family.

Importance of Wearing the Right Bra

Do you know a good bra of the correct fit is essential to a woman's breast? Majority of women are still unaware that they are not wearing the right bra.

Women today should be aware that wearing the wrong bra size could cause all sorts of medical problems. Some of these symptoms includes backache, shoulder pain, neck ache, tender, aching bust, soreness under bust, grooves in shoulders, and bad posture.

Because you either have too much bust or not enough. 'We are never happy with our lot.' These are just a few of the very real problems that can be put right with a good bra. There are so many women out there buying their bras assuming that their size is the same or some guesses their bra size and without trying them on or seeking expert advise. The result is usually more discomfort.

The most common complaints are
1. the back riding up,

2. straps slipping off the shoulders,

3. wrinkled cups,

4. unsightly bumps and ridges.

Better fitting bras not only feel comfortable but also help your clothes to look better. A well-fitted bra is similar to a pair of well-fitting shoes. Women should re-measured regularly especially during pregnancy, following childbirth, weight loss or weight gain - as the breast size can change dramatically.

The advantages of a correct fit bra includes no more soreness under the bust, pulling the back down, lifting the shoulder swaps and popping back in what has flowed out, making four boobs.
It takes an expert eye to find the size and style that will make the very best of each woman's figure. It also required in-depth knowledge of the wide variety of bras now available. Although manufacturers use what appears to be standard sizing on their labels, every bra is in fact slightly different. This means that a particular cup size in one style may not give you the right fit with another style or manufacturer.

Measuring your bra size and bra cup of exact fit is not difficult, however most women find it unnecessary and a nuisance. This is the major mistake as a good fitted bra brings about many benefits and eliminates unnecessary aliments. The following is some information for you while taking the measurement for yourself.

Your bra size consist of two figures; your back size and your cup. You will need to take two measurements using a tape measure.

Back Size : The measurement is taken around the body directly under the bust or your breasts (over your present bra).

Especially when buying a strapless bra, the bra has to fit slightly tighter but not too tight otherwise unsightly bulges would be formed. Use the following table to find your exact bra size.
Back Measurement (cms) Bra back size 63 - 67 30 68 - 72 32 73 - 77 34 78 - 82 36 83 - 87 38 88 - 92 40

Cup size: this is determined the difference between bra back size and the measurement around the fullest part of the bust.

Calculate the difference of the 2 measurements, rounding it off to the nearest inch. Use the value to find out its corresponding cup size in the table below.

Difference Cup size 1" A 2" B 3" C 4" D 5" E 6" F

After you have obtained both values, combine the two to get your exact fit size.

New Study Sheds Light on Lower Breast Cancer Survival Rate for Black Women

October 24, 2006
A new study has found that African-American women are more likely to suffer from larger, faster-growing, and harder-to-treat breast cancer tumors than white women. The study of 2,140 breast cancer patients was conducted by researchers at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and published yesterday in Cancer, the American Cancer Society’s peer-reviewed journal. The researchers found that race is a factor in survival rates for women with breast cancer in addition to access to health care and breast cancer screenings, differences in treatment, socioeconomic status, and racial bias.

Though black women are less likely to develop breast cancer than white and Hispanic women, they are more likely to die from the disease. The 10-year survival rate for African Americans is 52 percent, compared to 62 percent for Caucasians and Hispanics, according to the study.

"These findings should prompt additional research on how we can improve outcomes for African-American patients by understanding and addressing tumor biology," said first author Wendy Woodward, M.D., Ph.D., assistant professor of radiation oncology at M. D. Anderson. "It's important to identify unique features in different populations and subgroups of all women with breast cancer so we can understand a woman's risk and factors that affect her care on an individual level."

How To Do Your Breast Self-Exam (BSE)

Breast self examination (BSE) is to be performed in addition to an annual mammogram or a professional exam. Knowing your cyclical changes, what is normal for you, and and what the regular monthly changes in the breast feel like is the best way to keep an eye on your breast health.Your breast is more than the part of you that fits into a bra cup, although that is where the largest part of the breast is. Breast tissue actually extends up under each arm towards the area of the armpit.

Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 15 minutes a month

Here's How:
Make a regular date for your BSEIf you are pre-menopausal: Set a regular time to examine your breasts a few days after your period ends, when hormone levels are relatively stable, and breasts are less tender. If you are already menopausal: (have not had a period for a year or more), you can pick a particular day of the month to do the exam and then repeat your BSE on that day of each month.

Do a Visual ExamIn the privacy of your bathroom, strip to the waist and stand before a mirror. You will need to see both breasts at the same time. Stand with your hands on your hips and check the appearance of your breasts. Look at size, shape, and contour. Note changes, if any, in the skin color or texture. Look at the nipples and areolas, to see how healthy they look. Raise your arms over your head and see if your breasts move in the same way, and note any changes.
Do a Manual Check on the NipplesStill facing the mirror, lower both arms. With the index and middle fingers of your right hand, gently squeeze the left nipple and pull forward. Does the nipple spring back into place? Does it pull into the breast? Note whether or not any fluid leaks out. Reverse your hands and check the right nipple in the same way.

Stand and StrokeRaise your left arm overhead, and use your right-hand fingers to apply gentle pressure to the left breast. Stroke from the top to the bottom of the breast, moving across from the inside of the breast all the way into your armpit area. You can also use a circular motion, being sure to cover the entire breast area. Take note of any changes in texture, color, or size. Switch sides and repeat.

Recline and StrokeClose your bedroom door and place a pillow on the bed so that you can lie with head and shoulders on the pillow. Lie down and put your left hand behind your head, and use your right hand to stroke the breast abd underarm, as in Step 4. Take note of any changes in texture, color, or size. Switch sides and repeat.

Tips:
1.Doing Step 4 in the shower is easiest, as wet skin will have the least resistance to the friction of your fingers.

2.Mark your calendar, to remind yourself to be regular about the BSE. This is a good way to prevent a panic attack, if you get off-schedule and find a normal cyclic change. Know your regular, normal changes.

3.Stay relaxed and breathe normally, because becoming tense will itself produce some knots.
Report any changes or unusual pain to your doctor or nurse practitioner. Keep a log of changes, if that helps you remember.

Remember to have a regular clinical exam and a mammogram.

What You Need:
*A mirror which lets you see both breasts
*A pillow for your head and shoulders
*Privacy and time for your BSE
